Since 1989, Mainstream Water Solutions Inc. has been providing environmentally friendly, cost-effective, simple, and reliable water treatment solutions to municipal, residential, agricultural, and commercial customers. The Mainstream ozone-assisted biofiltration system is based on innovative biological slow sand filtration that combines ozone treatment and biologically activated carbon polishing to provide exceptional quality water, even with the most difficult-to-treat raw water. Mainstream's municipal systems are custom designed to meet each community's specific water treatment requirements. They currently have systems operating in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta, with many more in the design phase. Their municipal systems are operating in a wide range of geographic zones, from remote northern boreal lakes and rivers to prairie surface and ground water locations. This range includes treating water as low as 0.5 degrees celsius to warm summer water with high biological treatment requirements. Their systems can provide from 1m3 to 1,000m3 of treated water per day.
